We are Akili impact. We are consultants with a conscience. We build capacity of our partners in the Global South. While doing so, we generate collective wisdom for our team and partners. We use the wisdom to solve “wicked hard” problems. We utilise lived experiences of our people to help our partners find local solutions to wicked hard problems.

Values are the fundamental beliefs that guide our behaviour and decision making.

Collective Wisdom

There is a lot of information in the world but little wisdom. Today, wisdom comes from balancing slow, trust based connections with fast, scalable insights based abstraction.

Local Ownership

Local communities, governments, NGOs, cooperatives and businesses in the global South should own their societal problems and find local solution to those problems.

Design for Scale

We like experimentation and piloting. But when pilots don’t fail, they don’t scale. We are only interested in scalable pilots in the real world with real constraints.

Enduring Partnerships

Social change takes time. We need partners who understand the long game. Because, together we have to endure the test of time.

Learner's Mindset

Solving complex problem requires experimentation and iteration. We don’t know-it-all but we would like to learn-it-all. Nurturing wisdom is a moral and economic imperative for us.
